Anyone had experience with .22lr Conversion for Jericho, Witness or CZ-75 from EAA?

I've been thinking about getting a .22lr conversion for my Jericho 941 - has anyone had any experience with the EAA Conversions? I can't find much online about them... Also... is it worth it? after plopping down about $250 for the conversion - do you really end up saving so much on ammo ... depends on how much you shoot, I guess... Any ideas/opinions/suggestions? Thanks!

Just put 550 rounds of federal through mine on sunday. No stoppages of any kind. Then one box of 50 Rem thunderbolts I have been working through. 3 rounds no primer, other than that no problem. Mine is on a Tangfolio Witness, if you want to shoot a lot I highly recommend it. It is very accurate as well, I was spinning a squirrel target at 50 yards.

I had a Kadet conversion for my Cz. At one time I used the CZ compact as my edc and the conversion kit allowed for cheap practice on the same platform. It was extremely accurate and worked without any kind of hiccup. Compare the cost of 50 rnds/box of whatever ammo you use vs. 100 rnds/box of .22. You will definately save money. Looked at another way, by getting a conversion kit, you get another gun for half the price.

Kadet Kit is great. The Kadet Kit 2 also works on Omega trigger guns, as well. My son loves the P-01 with the Kadet Kit on it.

I had a Kadet Kit, that I used on a 9mm CZ 75b. The Kadet kit really was an excellent 22 conversion upper, quite reliable and spooky accurate. I sold the kit when I sold my CZ 75, but I'm kind of thinking about picking up a 22 upper for my P226.

For not too much more than the price of a 22 upper for a sig or CZ, I could just buy a whole new .22 pistol, such as the Ruger lite... I'm not sure how much the Kadet kit really helped me in a training sense, it was mostely just a lot of fun.

I'm with gscotty, if a conversion kit costs what an actual 22 does (more or less) why not get the gun designed to work that caliber. (and in all likelyhood has a much better single action only trigger) But whatever floats your boat.

I tried the EAA 22 conversiomn kit for the Witness 5+ yeras ago. It was not reliable and I sold it at a substantial loss.
The CZ Kadet kit for the CZ-75 is a superb all steel kit and functions reliably with the proper choice of ammo.
I have several 22 conversion kits for the 1911's - the Marvel Unit#1 is the most accurate and suitable for serious bullseye pistol shooters, the Tactical Solutions and old Jarvis units are all steel and function reliably with HV ammo particularly CCI miniMag, the Ciener functions reliably but is not as accurate as the Tactical Solutions unit.

My Kadet kit has been stellar. Frightening how reliable it is with all types of ammo. I can't find anything it doesn't feed/eject. Duds are another matter of course.

I agree the CZ Kadet kit is great. Mine is a little ammo finicky, but then again so is my Ruger Mk II. If I keep it clean it runs fantastic. If it gets dirty it can get a bit sluggish until I either clean it or add more lube. Still, those aren't really compliants, just observations, as .22's will always be a bit mroe finicky then centerfires.

thanks for all the responses, guys. I realize that for the price of the conversion I can get a dedicated .22 pistol... In NJ, we have to get a Permit to Purchase for Handguns and I just went through a bunch and don't feel like applying for more (even though it's relatively pain-free in my town). It's one less gun to have to explain to the wife. This way I can practice with the same frame and trigger as my main HD weapon, which is what the Jericho will be. As for the Kadet Kit, I don;t think those are compatible with the Jericho. I might just get a CZ75 someday....
