I watched the show; mall ninjas will be crazy about this one. The former seal guy and the writers did their research on this one and it demonstrates many sound tactics. It has confirmed my thoughts about carrying a hi-cap 9mm over a single stack or mouse gun whenever possible. For self defense against a lone criminal my S&W CS-45 would be my weapon of choice, however in this instance more bullets is better. I also realize the odds are most of us, CCW holders, will never be in the "right" place at the right time to make a difference. There is a much better chance of winning Powerball, but as a former boy scout, I prefer to be prepared.

What did you think of the show?

I'm pretty sure that put the Brady bunch into fits. I wasn't to impressed since it showed rational antagonists vs total nut jobs, but the tampon thing was true enough. I really liked the end when it basically showed how the boys in blue are gonna be WAY trigger happy so he had them stop, drop and pray:D

My jaw dropped when they took over the AKs and not only fought back but made a make-shift suppressor. I wouldn't have thought of taping the bad guy's walkie-talkie to jam transmissions. Interesting concepts but difficult to apply. What are the odds that other survivors will shoot an AK reliably enough to place your life in their hands?

The fire escape tunnel is a contradiction, when you are in a narrow hallway like that one bullet could take out 3 people. I would have instead used the lull in firing to run towards one of the main exits, as the terrorists were still concentrated in the original kill zone.

not bad all in all most in the public doesn't even think of stuff like this. i am surprised by the proactive/fight back approach too.

Benmc753,
I think the main exist doors were chained shut from the outside. I guess you could shoot your way through the glass but you might be exposed for a significant amount of time while doing so. Also if you didn't know the exits were chained it would be a real !@#$ to sprint to the exit only to find it locked.
