I just saw a anti smoking commercial in a gun store. By the truth or some anti smoking group, have seem a bunch of there commercials.

http://www.bebo.com/FlashBox.jsp?FlashViewType=TV&FlashBoxId=4534355606

Basicly it making a point as far as cigeratte companys labeling products as light, ulta light, etc that they are as bad as regular smokes.

He asks if they have 38 lights or something like that.

Can't remmember the whole thing. But someone they would have you believe is a gun store worker says. "Just like you won't find safe healthy bullets, you won't find safe healthy cigerattes".

In the end the anti smoker guy makes his ending remarks, while some guy racks a shotgun.

I tend to think of the commerical as anti gun. Dosn't say anything bad outright, but the premise seems to negative towards guns.

Any thoughts?

FWIW, I cannot STAND the dude that "stars" in those dumba$$ commercials.

Although, I will say - I got a chuckle out of the GLOCK sign on the wall that was edited to say CLOCK.

Stupid commercial. People that smoke light cigarettes smoke them because they are less harsh than the Marlboro Red I'm smoking right now. Not because they think lights are healthier. It's a flavor thing just like hot sauce down at the Taco Bell.

I agree. I think pretty much everyone these days knows that smoking = unhealthy. We get the point. Quit wasting your money on these stupid ads! If you're dumb enough to think some sort of cigarette is safer, then please, smoke up and die! :banghead:

It's funny, I've seen statistics that show anti drug commercials actually lead to increased drug use...the same can probably be said for these anti tobacco commercials.

Missed the those couple of thread when i did my search.

I think the commerical is idiotic and while they don;t say guns are bad. The message is there.

This commercial just came on as i clicked on this thread, it isn't directly anti-gun, but it makes its point. Also, i was watching the show cops, and it seems as if they purposely make guns look like weapons of mass destruction, through editing and such.
