Hunting for .308 brass online and my dad suggested his friend's company, who normally specializes in BPCR competition and cowboy action shooting supplies and components.

Checked them out and sure enough, lots of Winchester, Starline, Remington, and a brass I'd never heard of; Prvi Partizan. It was .32 each, same as the Winchester.

Anyone heard of it or used it? I did a quick internet search and found one guy who said it was really good Serbian brass.

Ordered 100 cases of it to try out.

x54, 10mm, x39, 6.5Grendel, 7.7x58....uh....yeah i use it.

Both fired factory and new, the only issue i had was some out of spec grendel brass that worked FINE in my gun, but had a recall.

I have used it in 7.62X54, 308, and 30-30. All have worked well for me. Actually the 30-30 lasts longer than any of the other brands before I get split necks.

I use PPU (NNY) brass in 7.62x54r. In my experience, the primer pockets come from the factory out of SAAMI spec.

Yes,I do know that :
(1) SAAMI is a North American construct, and NNY (PPU) is an Eastern European company,
(2) Compliance with SAAMI is voluntary.

That being cleared up, all the PPU brass I have has a primer pocket that is too deep. Both new unfired, and factory loaded once fired (that I fired myself).

It hasn't caused a problem, I shoot this in a few Mosins (both 91/30s and M39), and the firing pin strike on Mosins is both exuberant and length adjustable.

Just a heads-up.

PPU .308 brass has replaced LC in my reloading room. Not only is the factory ammos good to go, but you get good brass with it. Like Starline, they do make brass (and loaded ammos) in some hard to find cartridges, which is nice.

I noticed the primer pockets are a bit deeper on PPU 7.62x54R also, but as you said, pretty much a non issue. Perhaps it's done to prevent pierced primers from over exuberant firing pins. ;)
I have not noticed it in .223.

I have used PPU (NNY) rifle brass for many reloadings. Mostly 30.06, .308, and .243. I believe it is among the best brass to reload. It holds up very well. In general, I have found Serbian firearms and components to be very good. That is my opinion from experience. YMMV.

.303, .30-06, .308 and numerous pistol calibers. Works fine.

I have 5 different rifles, none are 308 Win., but I use a lot of PPU brass and love it. Never had a problem with it and it is very good brass, if I was loading for a new caliber I wouldn't hesitate to use it.

I use PPU brass for 303 British. It was really good Ammo when I bought a case to shoot and is really good for reloading.

I've used the 308 brass before with no complaints. I'd steer clear of their "match" bullets however. Pretty extreme spread of weight when measuring them. Over 1gr +/- difference if I remember. Hornady bullet's were +/- 0.1gr measured on the same scale.
