As per the subject line -- I wonder if there's a place I could try one of these out, esp. anywhere in Pennsylvania. I'm interested in eventually purchasing one of these in 9mm (probably with Glock magazine well, partly because the high-cap mags made for Glock are reasonably priced), but I'd like to try firing one first :)

Also, does anyone know if Kel-Tec provides factory tours? I am considering a road trip to FL in late spring, and this would be a cool stop if so!

Don't know about rentals, but my Sub 2000 has been pretty good. No malfunctions at all with something over 500 rounds through the gun (both fmj and hp). I use it to back up my G17 HD gun. It shoots fine, with little recoil. It is a little short, but that is what makes it so handy. Also it is difficult to shoot with muffs on. When I shoot it, I switch to ear plugs.

A very kind offer, but in fact even Cocoa would have been a bit out of the way, and WPB is quite a bit more. (Bradenton is the real end point, which is on the wrong coast and not as far south.) Thanks, though!

Besides which, it looks like a hoped-for job might have fallen though, which will change the plans anyhow.

Cheers,

yhtomit,

I suggest you get onto one of the yellow pages sites and search fro gun shops, gun ranges in Orlando (Mouseopolis)and Tampa/St.Pete/Clearwater (land of the walking dead) there are ranges in shops in both areas though I do not know what they have for rent. Give them a call and ask.

Becarefull not to sink into any of those phosphate pits that the state law has required be returned to usefulness and beauty. I thought some of the pits would make great shooting ranges with 360 berms. You could have the ability to shoot from multiple ranges just by using the trolling motor on your John Boat.
