I have an Olympic Amrs AR-15 with a commercial buffer tube. I had attempted to take off the castle nut to replace the plate and add a plate that has sling loops on it.

The AR wrench I have couldn't fit around the castle nut.

Is there a specific AR wrench that will fit my commercial castle nut?

Thanks

Steve

PS: the pic is the tool i have, I also have the fancy AR wrench that can fasten down a barrel (free float or non free float) BUT i let my buddy borrow that. LMK if that "fancy" one will work with my commercial castle nut...

Do you have one of the "castle nuts" that aren't really castle nuts but rather threaded lock rings that are tightened by a spanner engaging a single round hole on the rings outside diameter - or - is it actually a castle style nut that perhaps is OK but the tool is outa spec?

My castle nut is an actual castle nut. I've only seen the ones you spoke of today while looking for a "commercial style" AR tool/wrench online.

The AR wrench I lent out has the single notch for turning the nut...

Thanks
Steve
