AR 15 - flat rifle & scope riser

Howdy all,

I have the new R - 15 VTR from Remington which seems to be a bushy cleaned up and sold as their new varmint rifle, without the carry handle (Its a flat rifle).... My question ... Any opinions on a good Riser as I got a solid buttstock and will need to lift up the scope to get good eye relief. I have heard Larue makes a good one but expensive... It would be nice to get one solid piece which included rings.... all thoughts very much appreciated...
I need to get this mounted up and bust a cap or two... as this rifle is still a virgin and driving me crazy with lust...

wouldnt some good high-rise rings be an easier solution?

If you want matching finish...you'll probably pay a premium though.

I originally mounted without risers and getting proper weld/eye relief was impossible for me.

I ended up putting on a set of see through rings which are a little to high...

still looking for the right rings for me.

I purchased a 15 buck riser for my AR10 @ a gun show and some tall rings. No reason to spend huge money on a simple riser.

thanks test, will try 1/2" riser with high rings and that should about do it.. Dav i agree no reason to spend the farm... and I always enjoy rc's insight.
