I am with you on both.
1.ammo will be one of the biggest commodities after TEOTFWAWKI- more valuable than gold.
2.Even if you only drink a bottle of whisky a day, 8 years is 2,920 bottles. Honestly, that's not that much

I was looking for a 6.8 SPC shorty model my preverence for manufacturer was Rock River Arms. My dealer checked 6-12 months turn around time. After researching the 6.8 most recommended a 1:11 twist RRA has a 1:10". Since DPMS has a 1:11 my dealer checked and the have a 6 months turn around time.

The dealers in my area have AR's in 5.56 smaller shops 4-8 rifles the two large stores in my area have 30 plus each. I think the run on the AR's is slowing down but the manufacturers are still have filled all there orders.

I found a DPMS 6.8 on gun broker for $1025.00 could of gotten it for $975.00 from my local shop if I wanted to wait.

Yesterday I shot it with a 25 yard combat zero at 200 & 300 yards I could keep a 5-6 in group. I plan to scope and see what type of group I can get. I fired hand loads with Hornady 110 BTHP.
