Have LE6920 That is stamped Law Enforcement/Military Use Only...

Seen one for sale present day..No LE / Military stamping. But still a LE6920!

My guess is Older ones were Assault Rifle Ban Era...and Newer ones are...well newer ones ....present day No Ban Era.

Do any of you like myself, (Non Military/Non LE) have a LE/Military Use Only Stamped Version? Does it concern you in the least?

Hypothetical Situation .... Liberal LE that says You can not have this unless you are LE or Military??

Dont worry about it the same cop that gives you trouble for that will probally also say you have a mechine gun

don't sweat it. just like "Property of <university>" sweat shirts don't mean the university actually owns you or the shirt.

however, i think that colt just made that change last year.

Good point Oranges.....Taliv.....!!

I really like the new Colt Defense Super Stoc, but can not seem to find it readily available yet? Can not find a price either??

Anyone seen it for sale anywhere?

My Dad just got a new one from Bud's Gun Shop a few weeks ago and it is stamped Law Enforcement Only. Not sure if that means they were sitting around for a while or not. I was thinking the LE's had the stamping and the SP's did not. Maybe I was wrong.

Many shops are charging $100 more for the LE marked guns.

I don't like the look of the new stock.

Because right wing cops would of course turn a blind eye if they thought your firearm was illegal?

I have an LE6720. It was just a few digits away from being serial number 1000. The LE & Mil stamp just means Colt intended it for that purpose but there is no law to enforce it. Its my understanding that they are no longer marking ARs that way.

Those LE-marked Colts are actually illegal to even possess.

I'll PM you my address and you can ship it to me for proper disposal. Hurry before they catch you. :)

How about this hypothetical situation: Take an AR manufactured during the AWB that was LE marked and had all those ‘deadly features’. Let’s say the same AWB was passed and made law once again. Would that rifle that was manufactured during the previous ban be a banned rifle? How about a rifle manufactured during the previous ban that was later (after the original ban sunset) retrofitted w/ the ‘deadly features’?

The LE marked rifles were made long after the ban and i believe before it. To my knowledge the markings had nothign to do with differentiating weapons during the ban. Besides, how would that rifle be any more prone to attention than any other gun made before the theoretical new AWB with deadly features? During the last assault weapons ban were people being hassled for having preban rifles?

It's just a roll mark, nothing more, that was carried over from the AWB and not removed until very recently. Many many rifles were manufactured after the AWB with this marking, not just the 6920s. The new 6920 model without the roll mark is the SP6920 (not LE).

^^ Thats what I thought Captain (SP) ^^

And I think that holdencm9 is running a scam to get my LE? :scrutiny:

And I too think they are awesome with the roll mark! Everyone sees it and says how can you own that?
