I just bought a P6, this is my first sigarms pistol. The dealer was kinda enough to bring all the pistols they had in stock, about 4 of them, for me to choose from. I know absolutely nothing about Sig handguns and told the dealer as much. As such I asked him to help me pick out the best one of the bunch. The one he recomended was a Grade 3, its pretty dirty and I would have probably passed on that one myself but I am going to take is word for it.

One thing about this gun that stands out from the others is both magazines have a small "Target" stickers on them. Is this common or just something some one done for this particular gun?

From searching here I have read reports that earlier models, that start with serial numbers K or earlier have problems feeding HP ammo, Mine starts out with M so I am not worried there.

I love the feel of the grip on this thing and I look 4ward to taking it the range soom after is clears to see how I can do with it.

Thanks in advance for any info

I do not know what a target sticker on a P6 magazine signifies. Are they otherwise marked?
I do know that you should take them off before shooting, a label that gets curled up and rolls off inside the magazine well is a real mess to deal with.

I wonder why he told you a grade 3 gun was the best buy. Just unloading the least attractive gun in stock on a beginner?

I think he told me a grade 3 was the buy because the others where were worse off. I did look over the other guns before asking for his advice, from the outside they all looked about the same. I am totally new to Sigs, but not to guns in General, and this is my 4th gun from this shop. If I had reason to think I was getting shafted I would certainly take my business elsewhere. It will be a few days before I can pick it up, I will take a closer look then.
