Are there any .22WMR loads geared towards short barrels?

I've noticed that some .410 shells have been created almost exclusively for use in short handgun-length barrels (such as Taurus's Judge).

Are there any offerings in .22WMR that are loaded with faster powders for use specifically for handguns (especially those with short barrels)?

I'm still tossing the idea of a NAA mini revolver in .22LR/.22WMR (combination cylinder). However, I question what the point of a .22WMR when the barrel is so short (1 5/8") that the powder that would have provided additional velocity is spewed unburned out the barrel.

If they only offered, say, a 30gr Vmax with a fast burning powder designed to provide a significant velocity boost in short barrels, I would be completely sold on an NAA revolver (even if it would be just for play)

Look over in the BP section NAA makes this gun in a Cap and Ball version [Super Companion]. Loaded with Bullseye it gives the results you are seeking.

The .22Mag, like any other magnum pistol cartridge, will attain peak velocity with slow burning powders. Yes, even in short barrels.

Back in the day, when AMT first came out with the 22Mag AutoMag II, there were some functioning problems. CCI reformulated their 40gr MaxiMag so that it would make the little gun operate properly. AFAIK it's still the same. So yes, there is a 22Mag round specifically for handguns. Don't let the fact that it also works well in rifles fool you. When my chrony gets back from the hospital I'll run some numbers.
