Are there any reasonably priced (and in-stock) wood grips for the SP101 around?

I've got a wild hair (again) to purty-up my SP101, but the wood grips are sold-out nearly everywhere, and/or expensive as hell.
Not that long ago ( 2 years?) I scored a killer set of Pau Ferro Hogues for my GP100 off Amazon, I paid $40-something.
Now most everything I'm seeing is $70+, with the nice, custom stuff running way more than that.
There's lots of the Thai stuff on E-bay for $43 delivered, but I'm reading that there's some postal problems out there, and to expect a month or so on delivery, and I'm reading some sketchy stuff about that wood they use.
Meanwhile, places like MidwayUSA and OpticsPlanet are back-ordered for a good while. And even Hogue itself is currently sold out of ALL their basic, smooth grips. I wonder if there's an issue with the supply of exotic woods coming in ( I know the feds have been giving hell to the guitar companies over it.)
Any suggestions ?

I have the Hogue Pau Ferro grips on my .327 SP-101, and I really like them. You're right about the current shipping situation from Hogue. I just ordered some Hogue wood grips for my GP-100, and Midway estimates delivery some time in August. Still, I feel better buying from Hogue instead of an individual in the far east. I've known people who have had good luck on ebay with the exotic wood grips, but I've also know folks who had to wait over 9 months to get their grips. I don't think there is an easy answer.

I like the all Thailand grips I have purchased and it's a wait sometimes but the prices are great , excellent quality and fit, IMO. Here is an example on my 3" GP100. I know they have some nice ones for the SP101 as well.

I have bought some of those Thailand grips for my S&Ws on Ebay. They have all been really nice and a very good price. The shipping does take 2-3 weeks, but they are good quality

Jim Badger....Top notch quality. Worth the few bucks more:

Can you deal with the rubber grip, and maybe beautiful inserts? Chigs Grips is the way to go. His inserts are first rate, inexpensive, and arrive in 3 days.

Thanks guys, I feel a little more open to the Asian/E-bay stuff now, but for that ridiculous shipping wait. I could handle 2-3 weeks, if I KNEW that's all it would be.
Weblance, good call on the inserts, I hadn't really considered that. I'd long ago yanked the rubber/insert grip and replaced it with the Hogue rubber grip, but it is kinda big and awkward, and as so many others have remarked, doesn't conceal very well.
I wonder if the factory wood inserts from my GP100 grips would fit in the SP101 grip? (eh,probably not).

Thanks again to all for the input, especially to Weblance for turning me onto Chig Grips. I decided to yank off the Hogue rubber grip, and put on the original panelled grip, and replace the black plastic panel with these inserts made from Bocate wood. They're a little flashy, I guess, not exactly traditional, but I figured if I was gonna spruce it up, I might as well spruce it up,eh? :D
Scroll down to set "S", then click the pic for a larger photo. I think they're gonna look dynamite !

Take careful note that custom grips typically fill the area behind the trigger guard. That addresses the very reason, at least functional, why people seek a better answer in grips. If you shoot these guns with full up 357, they can be rather punishing. My grips are rosewood Hogues and serve well, but I wouldn't describe them as reasonably priced, i.e. pocket money, nor overpriced. They are premium grips, and I like them that way.

I don't know what is currently in stock, but when I order grips, I often wait months to get them.

Altamont has some nice looking inserts for a reasonable price. I have ordered several sets of grips from them and have always been pleased with the quality for the price.
