My brother is a consultant for a huge video game company and as part of his job he can get any game for free. Anyways, long story short, neither my father nor I are into gaming, but we figure if my brother can get these games for free we'll get a PS3 to play them and there is a Walmart deal right now where you get a PS3 plus a game, a credit for a game, and $100 in a "gift" for use at Walmart.

I was going to go do it tomorrow, but I'm wondering if there is any restriction that would make it so I couldn't use the "gift" towards the purchase of a shotgun at Walmart. I have my eye on a Rem 870 Express there.

Any restriction you guys know of? I've gotten used to gift cards having some strings attached. I will ask Walmart, but I don't trust their answer whatever it is.

<- work there, A.M. over electronics/photo/etc.

There's none that I'm aware of. It's a plain jane gift card that anyone can purchase/load with $100 on it. BUT I think that offer has expired (was for PS3 one week, then any Blu-ray or PS3 for the next), at least in this market.

I bought my PS3 a few weeks ago on that promo. It's a basic gift card- not limited to electronics or anything else. I could have blown it all on ammo or anything else in the store.

If Wal-Mart sells it, their shopping card will work for it.
