I too practice polyarmory... ;)

But I do have a steady date - my CZ 75b 9mm is what always goes to pistol class with me... always.

Well, there is one medium game hunting rifle that will always be the first choice when I go hunting, but I bring a back-up rifle as well. Don't want to travel hundreds of miles only to find out there is something wrong with your only hunting rifle.

I always bring two pistols when I go to a USPSA match. Don't want to wake up early in the morning (I HATE waking up early) to go to a match and then have an equipment failure.

I have a Remington 870 set up for home defense and another 870 for trap shooting. The trap gun has a spare 20" barrel so that gun can be pressed into the HD role should the need arise.

I have two M1 Garands so that if I send one out for some work, I still have one at home.

I have two pistols for SD so that if one malfunctions or is really dirty, I can just turn to the other one. What if I am in the middle of cleaning my SD pistol and something happens? ;)

I have five Mosin Nagant rifles because. . . well, there's no real practical reason to have five Mosin Nagants. Okay, I admit it. I really love guns. :D

I have quite a few guns from quite a few manufacturers, but I do try to keep to one action type. My basic rule is that every pull of the trigger must be the same. SA, fine. DAO, fine. Striker fired, fine. DA/SA, not fine. It's simply a training thing for me.

Of course, like every rule there are exceptions. I'm being very tempted right now with a tax rebate check inbound and those smoking hot deals on Sig P6 that I may have to make one exception.
