Arken Optics sale!

They are chubby scopes. I've got two 34mm tube scopes, and will not noticeably heavier than my 30 mm tubed target scopes. They're definitely bulkier.

I'm using a set of arken 34s on one gun, and Warren mountain techs on the other. The Arkens work well and cost about 1/2 the warnes, so probably worth grabbing at the same time, if someone's looking at these guys.

Where do you rate the glass?
I dont have an ep5 yet....my buddy bought one a while back and now wants a toric 34mm so ill be paying full price for his.....when ever i can afford it lol.

My 6-24SH4 is a solid "good" optically for its price point. This is simply because its resolution isnt great at the top end, but otherwise delivers excellent performance.
Id put it on par with the first gen Vipers, Athlon Midas, and a bit behind the Athlon Ares ive used.
.....and if im being honest, there's really only a couple ive had in the $400-800 range that i can honestly say "Yeah, thats NOTICEABLY better"

I assume its the same glass as the 4-16. Which id actually recommend simply because in THAT power range it looks as good as anything ive seen under 800ish MSRP and its turrets smoke everything ive used, including my 1k range scopes.

Dunno.....

just a note.

They want you to add a $10 donation to the Navy seals foundation to get the 25% off.
I didn't actually figure that out until I looked at it to find a timeline. If you simply put 25% into the coupon code It still gives you the discount, But it's not following the intent of the offer.
I found it out because I still had an old code in my autofill.

I don't think I've seen one bad review of the EP5.

Arken does have some good deals.
I picked up the SH4 4-16 with all the add ons for $399 when they ran that deal.
Mount, covers, throw lever, level, sunshade and a rear bag.

When I first seen that scope the 34mm tube kinda killed it as I didn't want to buy another mount so I went with a Vortex Diamondback 6-24x50 for $300, took it out once and didn't like it, could barely see the target at 100 yds back under trees, definitely couldn't see impacts on a steel plate.
Then Arken came out with the bundle deal and I dropped another $400.
Took a $100 hit on the DB when I sold it with a mount.

The Arken mount has a 20 MOA cant which is not needed for anything I shoot.
With a 100 yd zero I had about 70 MOA till it topped out.
My Ariska scope level wouldn't fit under it with a 1.5" mount either, fat S.O.B.
My .308 that's an 800 yd rifle, only needs about 25 MOA so I went with a Midwest Industries 1.93" 0 MOA mount as I like taller mounts.
Oh the irony.

Gotta love those turrets.
If you have to be quiet for some reason don't mess with the turrets as they snap pretty good.
Excellent reticle as well for a FFP scope, it works well at all ranges.
I think the SH4 glass is pretty good, the EP5 uses Japanese glass and seems to be even better.
They are big beefy scopes, hefty.

If I needed something in the 5-25 range and that's what I had to spend on a scope I would get it.

Looks like the 4-16 is now 289.99 shipped for Labor Day.

The 6-24 is $299 as well, and beyond that, you can still apply the $170 off coupon to the ring/throw lever/cover/etc kit bringing the net cost down to $25... Pretty unbeatable deal, I've been impressed with my 4-16 from them, especially for the price.
