You probably saw my .223 varmint ammo test where light, fast .223 punched holes in a level III plate, even from a 14.5" barrel. M193 and other high velocity ammo seems to be murder on steel plates. The Target Man/Spartan Armor Systems just released a new level III+ plate this month. They had a previous III+ plate but this version is supposed to be a product improvement. So what do you think? Do you believe that it can stand up to Lake City XM193PD when fired from a 20" AR? Don't cheat; make your prediction before you watch the test.

Wow, those rounds are really steppin' out! I don't own a "musket":p and haven't handled an A2 since the mid-90's but I was expecting ~3200 fps.

I really like Spartan Armor and have their website bookmarked, if I didn't already have plates this is where I would get them from. Thinking about setting up a plate carrier for my wife.
