Obama wishes he could do this.

He can enter into all the treaties he wants...but if the GOP Senate doesn't approve them, the treaty isn't law and has no power.

You have to remember one thing. Back in 2008 this country gave Obama a Senate with 60 Democratic votes and a majority in the House. President Trump DOES NOT have that luxury and the fight to get seven Democratic Senators just to agree will be a tough process.

I think there is 52 Republican Senators right now waiting for the Louisiana to have their runoff election which most experts agree will be a Republican.

People seem to forget this. In the next congress for a bill to become a law it will take 7 Democratic Senators not opposing it. It takes 60 votes to break a filibuster.
