I have to agree that the AWB can pass by many nefarious means; so please remind everyone to continue writing their elected officials. Diane Feinstein and her minions has made it clear that they will not let this matter go until her "law" is passed.

It's absolutely not dead, not until those that push an anti 2A agenda still hold a position in Congress. We gotta vote them out. How do we do that when these huge population centers where the liberals shower their constituents with free stuff control a good deal of the elections? I'm from Illinois and can tell you that nearly all of the state is red except Cook county and East St Louis. Free stuff = votes.

Ried only declined to attach it to the "main" gun bill which involves all the background check stuff. He has promised her that her AWB will get a full vote in the Senate. Never doubt that the leftists are going to use the next 3.5 years to try for every single thing they've ever wanted. Obviously, the 2014 mid term elections will be critical for them.
