I've had good luck with the scopes, but no experience with the rangefinders.
I haven't had the cash for a new rangefinder yet this year, but I HAD intended to get the sig 2k or 2200. For the cost they seem hard to beat.
I've been considering getting an Athlon just to try them out also tho.

Call Doug at Camera land new york. He will hook up the pricing and if there is something better he will let you know. I go to them for all things Athlon (and some other brands) and have been really happy with the service and pricing. Just ordered a Midas Tac the other week from him

I won a Midas 1200 Yard Rangefinder in Camera Land’s November drawing and it is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I’ve spoken to Doug but was hoping to get info from someone whose actually used one in the field.

Delta Team Tactical lists Athlon Midas 1200 for $154 and free shipping - https://www.deltateamtactical.com/Athlon-MIDAS-1200-Yard-Laser-Rangefinder-in-Gray_p_8341.html

They list reflective target distance to 1200 yards but deer sized target to 600 yards.

I was thinking about getting Laser Works LW1000Pro for $142 which is rated for 1000 yards (1600 for reflective targets) - https://www.amazon.com/LaserWorks-P...ABMHR3R234K6N2S89&refRID=M22ABMHR3R234K6N2S89

I was also thinking about getting Laser Works SL Laser Rangefinder for $99 with rated 1200 yards - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BKV9QMV/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1_1_1?smid=A3D3JRGYRKARVX&psc=1

Since reflective vs practical distance to target varies, I am researching how well these range finders perform in real life.

Look forward to your review of Athlon Midas range finder.

It came. I played around with it for about 15 minutes. The only frame of reference I have regarding quality is my Nikon ProStaff I’ve had for at least five years. The Midas is definitely better.
