Hello, all Im new to THR.
I just got a
Auto Ordnance WWII commemorative..
The Gun is . 45.cal
~M1911A1~

and WOW it works 100% with FMJ, "ball points"
the Wad-cutters A few Stove pipes, and
hollow points also had few stove pipes.
never a feed jam.

The Searal # starts with WW ####
I was trying to find out what year this pistol was made.
I email'd
Tommy (AO) also now Kahr.
and i emailed America Remembers,
and AO says they make it but the years they made it

This is what Tommy/kahr/AO said to me when I asked what year It was made.

"" That sounds like one of the American Remembers guns possibly. I could be wrong but our serial numbers begin with a AOA to AOC. The only thing I can tell you is that we make the gun but America Remembers does all the work to it. Sorry I couldn't be more help but I think America Remembers can definitely help you out better with that info.

Thanks have a great day from all of us at Kahr Arms.

Thank you for your email. I’m not sure the firearm you have was issued through our company. You can view both our company web sites at www.americaremembers.com and www.ahffirearms.com to see if your firearm matches anything on our product lists.

I did and they dont have a Auto Ordnance WWII commemorative 45.

I thought the pics loaded..

Its my Carry pistol.

Its a commemorative and its my carry.

But my brothers New Colt Defender is more picky on ammo.

=)

I been calling companys and emailing them asking what year it is..

Carry and shoot what you like.

If you can hit what you aim at and don't mind carrying a pretty gun; more power to you.

Better than making it a safe queen.

I got a call back, from kahr..
Going by the City and state NY, etc..
It was a 1999 or Older.. but Now I have to get in touch with A.O.

Just curious, since it is now only a working gun, what difference does the manufacture date make, it is not going to lower or raise the value. Not breaking wise, really just curious.

Well Ron, I know the Pistol did not come with the
certificate of authenticity.
the box has the letters US on it.
if ya look close at the top of the Box...
it says winchester on it.

But I love the gun it shoots wonderfull with FMJ.

to defend yourself, is a passion.
that is how a person protects a loved one.

So Ron I just want to know for my self.
