Average lifespan of Glock barrel?

What about shooting with another barrel and see?
I recently noticed there was a wobble between slide and barrel on some not too old Glocks that were becoming inaccurate, excessive wear?

See if you can buy or borrow an Outers Foul Out and see if that doesn't get the barrel back to shooting as it should. As others have said, the accumulation of copper from jacketed bullets is difficult to see and remove. Electro-Chemical removal is the only way to really get rid of it for sure. I've known several guys that have rescued their barrels from going to (and from) the scrap heap this way. Most of these where high power rifles. Glock with its polygonal rifling really has nothing to wear out.

I went shooting today with a couple of the department's old Glock 22's and my own. I went along with a member of our TOT team (our version of SWAT) and he brought his duty 22 as well.

We set up two targets for 5 rounds groups, one for new glocks, one for old glocks. We fired a total of 30 rounds each, 15 from an old gun and 15 from a newer gun. 12 groups total.

After all that, no conclusion. I wasn't able to say one way or the other. I will have to try it again some time in the future. Look for a post when I do.

However, I played with a new 92FS that I recently bought. I was very impressed with the accuracy. While we were out there the other officer was running through his sniper course which had us at 100 yards. For kicks and giggles I shot at an 8 inch target with the other officer spotting for me. I hit target 3 times out of 15 with about 8 shots being within a couple of inches. Not bad for a new gun at 100 yards. I wish my Glock would do that.
