I love my Detonics Mk.1 Combat Master .45, but the aftermarket grips that came on it were sub-optimal for my large hand. This afternoon I decided to do something about that and grabbed a chunk of moose antler and started hacking away.

The result is probably on the fat side for most people, but they fit my hand perfectly. I think they look pretty spiffy, too!

There is nothing about that pistol I don’t like!:)

The outward appearance of my hands would not indicate larger than average, but I can thumb the hammer of my Desert Eagle with one hand.

I imagine an STI double stack 1911 would be blissful.
But that leaves less room for Tiger Maple...

Quite thick and drifted just enough my trigger finger sets squarely.

Shells stink, too!
I sanded and polished two purple colored clam shells for my mother to paint. They smelled like Mercaptan and burning fingernails!
I had no idea what I was in for and suffered through it anyway.
The dust just hangs in the air. Full shop ventilation was needed...:barf:

As an additional aside, an advantageous advertisement ,apprehended, alludes to the above added accessories...
