So I live in southern illinois and sometimes visit other states for work or fun and can usually carry in them. Sometimes I bring a pistol but that usually works out to be a pain. Put on a nice IWB holster and you might ruin it by wearing it without a gun in it until you get out of the state, or you have to try to snap the holster on somehow. I've been thinking about how convenient it would be to just load the 642 and drop it in my waist band sometimes. The barami hip grip looks to be pretty good for this.
I've always had it drilled into me that you have to use a holster to keep the trigger covered and to be sure the gun doesn't run down your pants. Realistically, the trigger isn't anything I should be worried about on the 642 is it? Does the barami grip hold the gun securely enough that it should keep in on its own? Convince me they're safe and good
