Got a Kentucky Rifle kit for Christmas from the wife. I decided on Laurel Mountain Forge browning solution to brown the barrel. I started yesterday morning at 7am. Upstairs bathroom is off limits right now for the family. I'll run the shower until the mirror fogs up and filling the tup 1/4 of the way with hot water. Shut off the vent in the bathroom so the HVAC doesn't push out all of my humidity. Carded at 1pm with hot water and old blue jeans. Re-coated with more solution. Carded and recoated again at 6pm and 10:30pm. Got up this morning at 6am and did my 5th card and recoat. I'm not very familiar with browned barrels so I'm not sure how I can tell when I have the barrel finished. I was expecting the process to take quite a long time. I remember reading about people doing this over 4-5 even 10 days. The finish looks pretty even right now. How can I tell when I'm done? This is a picture after the 10:30 coat.

Hard for me to imagine the work you are putting into this barrel! I've browned many barrels with Laurel Mountain and basically just apply, card, and repeat for a couple days. It is great stuff and you just stop when you have the color you want. Remember to follow the directions closely to stop the process and I'd leave it out of a gun safe for some time afterwards as it can cause rust on your other guns until the process has completely stopped.
