Hello,

Could anyone share with me any information about a 12 gauge, double-barrell shotgun, Batava Special, by the Baker shotgun company? Thanks in advance.

A very good shotgun. Worth some money if in good shape.

Many of these predated the now common 2 3/4" shell and were chambered for what was known as the 2 1/2", 2 5/8" or 2 9/16" shell. A smith should be able to tell you if so.

He can also tell if this has Damascus barrels. If so, do not fire this with modern ammo, even if the chambers allow it.

The last Baker I saw advertised was in good shape and was priced at a couple grand.

HTH....
