Just needs some suppressor height sights!

Yes, I know, it's a bit silly. What kind of lunatic suppresses a deep concealment pocket pistol???

It actually sounds decent, though. Little bit of port noise, but way quieter than any blowback .380. I made a threaded barrel from a blank for my CZ83, but that was a total waste, as there's so much port noise it sounds about like an unsuppressed .22 pistol.

Honestly, it was done because my DB9 supplanted this as a primary, and I had an inquiry about threading an LCP, so I figured I'd see what I could do on my own pistol first, as the P3AT/LCP are just about in the "impossible to thread" category with their teeny tiny, super-thin barrels. At the relief cut toward the front, they're just .385" in diameter, only .030" over bore diameter. Behind that, the barrel is only .430". So I turned away the "bulb" at the snout and threaded the exterior .430"-40 TPI, then made an adapter from 17-4 H1150 stainless. The adapter is a bit tricky, had to use my one-of-a-kind tool post milling attachment with a micro thread mill to get the internal threads, as standard single point cutters that thin will deflect considerably going .700" deep in tough stainless, and there's really no margin to compensate for that. The OD of the adapter is just .460", so only .015" thick walls.

The bore on the front of the slide is .468" ID, but had to be oblonged at an angle for the barrel to tilt. That I simply did with a Dremel.

A bit to my surprise, it ran perfectly right out of the gate with my Phoenix IX on the end.

Now it's time to develop a wet & wiped 9mm caliber micro can that would be somewhat appropriate for the host, probably all 7075-T651, 1-1/8" diameter and 4-4.5" long. Won't be super quiet, but hearing safe should be doable. After all, I managed that with a 2.2" long, .8" diameter can on a .25 ACP!

In the "Because why not" category: an ingenious solution to a heretofore unimagined suppressor application!

I am impressed by your ability and imagination to make something like this work!

I like the Pinocchio Pocket Pistol. I don’t see much practical use for it though. I hate to say it, but my immediate thought was that the ridiculous folding glock doodad might make this more interesting. I wonder if a folding suppressor might be possible.

Is this tool a super-secret tool, or do we get to see?

It's not too far removed from a tool post grinder, except that I built a reduction gearbox and opted for a very powerful 4 pole brushless DC motor (meant for 1/5 scale RC cars) for variable speed. I built it off a standard CXA size boring bar holder, which I counterbored for sealed ball bearings to carry the ER20 collet holder.

It allows me to do these kinds of tricky thread jobs, stuff where the deflection or pressure of a conventional threading tool causes problems. I can also do metric threads on the imperial lathe with it, though that is a painstaking process.
