I was in need of a new belt, and based on others recommendations I ordered a quick ship belt from Beltman. They were fantastic to deal with as is the belt I received. Shortly after I placed my order I received an e-mail from David regarding the size I ordered, as he thought it may be too big and they wanted to make sure it would fit properly. I called him to discuss what I needed, and he had me measure my current belt and recommended dropping the size down by an inch. I received the belt 2 days later, it fits perfectly and comfortably supports my OWB holster and carry gun, where my previous belt was causing a some discomfort. It's nice dealing with someone who takes the time to make sure their customers are taken care of.

I'm happy with the one I bought some years ago. Not only is it a good solid gun belt, it looks good enough that I've worn it as a dress belt a few times.

When this one wears out I'll replace it from the same source.

I have actually worn a Belt Man belt completely out. I was quite impressed with it actually. I never maintained it in any way and I wore it all day everyday for over three years and then rotated it around after I started making my own.

I know what really did it in though. I built a 24x40 garage almost entirely by myself through the spring summer and fall of southern heat. I have toxic sweat. My Estwimg hammer is all pitted with rust now. I have wheeled the rust off and oiled it twice since but it continues to rust away. I could probably get a free replacement from Estwing.

Anyway, the belt started delaminating. The stitching broke. I resewed it a few times as I had started leatherworking at that point. Eventually the hole I used broke away and started a tear that went down to the next hole.

I retired it in all it’s glory and would not hesitate to buy another. It lasted eight years and probably would have lasted eight more if I had either maintained it or never built that garage.

I bought a Belt Man belt 14 years ago. They didn't have the exact thing I wanted in stock so I had to wait think it was about 5 weeks.

Anyway, I rarely carry because I work in NJ but I wear the belt literally every day. Lets say I have worn the belt 5000 times. It's still looking great but I'm thinking about ordering another.

After researching forums I decided on a dual bull hide double stitched Beltman with the stiffener and have been very happy with it. If and when I wear it out I'll order another from David. The stiffener was probably overkill for my needs but I think I could hang a Buick off it if I wanted to. IMG_1558.JPG

Mine is a work belt, mostly,at this time. Its around 13 yrs old. It was pretty good until I jumped in a lake and it never was the same. I have redyed and sealed it a couple times to stiffen up and took the buckle off to replace the one my, newer belt, that had snapped the hole catching thingy. The metal looked like junk cast stuff, where it snapped, not under any heavy load but left me and my gun sagging and me, luckily, at my car.

Buy through the beltman website, rather than calling. He produces a good belt, but his opinions on carry and carry gear are long on opinion and short on utility.

I have one of his and likely will buy another in the future...off of his website.

I wear mine as a dress belt all the time.

I have migrated towards scuba webbing belts but there is certainly a time and place for a nice leather belt.

I have had good luck with my Beltman product. The only thing that has affected its usefulness is too many trips to the buffet.
