I have a Harris bipod on my RRA, and would like to try a bag rest setup. I use a small bag under the rear of the stock (A2 type stock), but I believe I can improve my groups if I go from the bipod to a bag. I've tried a couple of bags, but they never seem to be high enough due to the 20rnd mag hitting the bench.

So, you AR shooters, what type of bag setup do you use/recommend?

It certainly would. I really like my PMags, but will definately consider this.

PMags are good stuff, no question. But the 10 rd. Colts are cheap (when you can find them) & run like a charm. If you're bench shooting, it's an easier solution than tall sandbags.

what Harris?
Also, I just use a Cordura sandbag-like thing of my own design. Fill it with whatever's available (dirt, sand, rice, etc.) until you have enough, then tie a not in the end. It works for my hiking about and shooting at random hillocks/trees/boulders a few hundred yards off.
