Benchrest Journal had article on AR with 69gr SMK.
They used 28in Hart barrel with 1:9 twist and tested a lot of powders. The rifle was prepared by Bill Wylde (Wylde Chamber?). They did FL sizing and neck sizing. The neck sizing is interesting. I could not determine from the article how the chamber was finished, or what dies or brass prep technique they used.
The bullet was seated out way past magazine length to touch the lands, but the article mentioned that a newer chamber would allow for magazine length and touch the lands.
I am certain a custom die could do minimal sizing of the body and base, so as to allow maximum powder capacity without going to an AI configuration.
There are many posts about neck-sizing, fl-sizing, small-base fl sizing. Has anyone used neck-sizing in a Wylde chamber?
