Thoughts about the Benjamin Regal NP2 22 rifle. I already am aware that the scope is worthless. Looking forward to all you folks opinions.

It looks to have the same powerplant as my Benjamin Titan GP nitro piston (.22) that I've owned for several years now. They are good guns for the price range they sell in. Shoot it with the included scope and have fun breaking it in. Be prepared to upgrade to Charlie DaTuna trigger at some point. :)

The NP2 Summit is different than the orig Summit. The orig Summit is like the Titan. The NP2 has a larger 29mm bore vs guns like the Titan having a 25mm bore. Don't assume bigger is better. The GRT trigger does not fit the NP2, but the CBR does. I think the GRT is nice but too expensive since I can mod the oem trig to be as good or better. The CBR trigger is imo a waste, all you need to do is find or make a lighter spring from wherever and you're good. I can explain how to mod either one to not only match what the aftermarket ones do, but end up even better. It's too much to post here so chevota at hotmail and I'll send it, just say what gun it is and what you want.
The oem scope works but I don't believe it has parallax adj. Parallax can be changed but takes time. So I'd try it and see how you like it, then if you want to drop some $ I'd consider this guy: https://tinyurl.com/y873avmz kinda $pendy but worth it imo. The side parallax adj is sweet and the etched reticle is so much thinner than the metal one. I bought the metal wire version first and was disappointed.

Thank you for your reply. I ordered a CBR trigger from Charliedatuna, and it doesn’t seem to be the same trigger configuration as my stock trigger. (See my photos). Can you help me in identifying the proper trigger that I need to order? Thanks in advance!

This is my rifle model.

The trigger on the left is my stock trigger. The trigger on the right is the CBR trigger ordered from Charliedatuna.

That's the wrong trigger, you need the GRT. That one is for the NP2. You can mod your trigger to work as well as, or better than the GRT if you're willing to do the work. I always do it bc I'm unwilling to spend $ on something I can do better. The offer for the info/tuning pkg is still good, and it includes tons of other info about the gun and scope setup. Usually I net ~20% or so more power after I tune it, and it ends up easier to cock, smoother cocking and firing, quieter and more accurate. Poor accuracy is the norm so it includes lots of info on improving that.
Fyi I see I said Summit in my other post, the original Summit and Regal were basically the same gun so apparently I got confused and went on to ramble about the Summit and NP2. So just ignore all that...
The new and old "Regal" appear to be the same except the old stock was detailed. The old stock was apparently the Optimus but with checkering and a clear coat: https://tinyurl.com/yc4bweuk
Mine also came with a white and black end cap on the pistol grip to match the butt end. The Regal II appears to be the basic Optimus stock. I guess they decided to cut costs? Details or not it's still my favorite stock shape from Crosman...

I found that the trigger I need is the GRT-lll, so I sent the trigger back to Charliedatuna to exchange for the GRT-lll. Being that I had never pulled my stock off to look at the trigger assy. As the website said to do, (I am new to all this, and I usually mess things up when I try to “diys”) I ordered the wrong one. I found that it was fairly simple to get it apart, and back together again. Anyway, I learned a lot with no harm done. I did swap out the stock trigger screw with the longer screw while I had it apart. It feels a whole lot better than it did! Thank you so much for the great info! You guys are a big help!!!

Nice score :) . I believe that has the same power plant as my Crosman F4 & I hope it's as accurate and you enjoy shooting it as much as I do mine. My F4 is the Wally China fart exclusive model in the black synthetic stock which I do not like even though it doesn't look bad and it does work well but I'm planning on replacing it with a Benjamin Regal or Benjamin Trail hardwood stock just to eliminate the polymer. The trigger on mine was really long, gritty and scary creepy and needed some serious help. I messed with the adjustment screw and improved it somewhat but I still have trigger work to do and may just replace it all together, but idk yet ? ...

I have a .22 Titan GP and really like it, it is very accurate especially after I put in the trigger from Charlie, I think mine is the GRTIII, it's gold and serrated on the front. It's one of the most accurate air rifles I have ever owned until I got my Gamo Urban, now that thing has taken accuracy to the next level, now it's time to ditch the hand pump and get a compressor.
