Beretta 1201

I have a Beretta 1201 Shotgun.. It's not the FP. The question is, is it possible to extend the magazine and add a barrel that will basically turn it into an FP model. I do not believe there are any differences in the receiver and I also think it will be an easy thing to do. (if I can find the parts). deltaforce.com seemed to have plenty of stuff for the benelli but not so much for the 1201. Any site recommendations on buying the butt / barrel/ extension would be greatly appreciated...

If I remember correctly, the 1200, 1201 and 1201F magazine tube is threaded on the inside for the mag cap/barrel stud. The barrel lug is the small diameter design. I think this would make it difficult to extend the stock mag tube. The mag tube is threaded into the receiver. It can be removed, but would be concerned about receiver damage since it is loctited. Then you have to come up with a barre. I think you would be money ahead to sell the 1201F and purchase a 1201 FP.

Yeah, that is what I was afraid of. I was planning on getting a new barrel for the thing anyway. Do you know of any websites that would be a good place to start looking for a barrel, mag tube? I have found it pretty difficult to find anything online for the 1201 period. I do want to price a little and see how it will work out. But, I think you are probably right.. Thanks!
