I think that lifespan is really dependant upon what you feed your gun. I've shot nearly 11k "full power"(by american standards I guess) reloads through mine with 3 minor parts failures.(hammer release lever, small mag catch bushing, front nite site)
Nothing like a broken locking block or other serious break.
When my spring rehab kit arrives I'm swapping it all out.
Some folks report 100,000 rds on the same frame and slide and 30,000 rd on the newer locking blocks.
