Being the owner of many 3r generation S&W auto 9mm pistols, kimbers, rugers I was a little skepctial of beretta autos!Needless to say I missed the boat with that thought process.I orginally picked up a beretta 950 jetfire(25 cal.)for a mouse gun.I really like its quality build and tip up barrel.Last week I bought a beretta 85FS cheetah stainless (380 cal.)All I can say is WOW I love this pistol, feels good and handles good:)Today I ordered a beretta model 92FS Inox(9mm)should be here this weekend.I think there will also be more beretta pistols in my future:D

I too own 3 Beretta pistols, a 950 Jetfire, a 92FS and an 87 Target .22lr. They are almost as habit forming as my SIGs and 1911s, 2 of my 1911s are SIGs. My only gripe with the 92 is the position and function of the safety/decocker, but still a great pistol. Another habit forming gun maker is CZ, and like the Beretta the trigger gets better with age. Congrats! There a lot of good pistolsmiths across the pond.

I have noth the model 21A Beretta pistols for a mouse gun. It just happened that I bought them a week apart used. Both look identical. One is 22LR and the other is .25. I ran several magazines of ammo through each of them without a jam. Then I cleaned them well. They are a cute pair.

I also have the 92FS. The only pistol I have that has been shot a ton of times and has never jammed regardless of what I feed it. Darn good pistol. I hope you enjoy yours.

I have eight 92 variants. Awesome guns. Congrats.

I personally love stainless/silver guns, EXCEPT for beretta 92s. I only like them in black.

But, be sure to tell us how you like it when you shoot it

Enjoy, very nice pistol.

Applied a little extra love on this one. :)

I too made the switch from 3rd gen s&w. look into getting a D spring too. Takes 2 minutes to change and makes a nice difference on trigger pull.

I like the 92fs.....not the best out of the box trigger (like the 3rd gen S&W's). Very reliable and accurate though, the earlier Italian models (straight dust cover, without the plastic) are really something special.

Where did you buy the grips? They look great.

Beretta Presentation Deluxe Grip Set (P/N UD99016). If you sign up for deals on the Beretta website, they occasionally make these available at a discount. Otherwise, I found mine here.

Congrats on the 92FS INOX. I picked a new up a couple of months back. The best thing you can do with it (IMHO) is replace the hammer spring with a D spring. I got the 16# from Wolff. Initially I struggled keeping my shots on a bulls-eye target at 50 feet but after switching out the spring it has become my best shooter.

Another change you could consider if it is an Italian (as opposed to USA) made is to swap out the lanyard pin. The original is a roll pin that requires a punch to remove (necessary for changing the hammer spring). I changed it for a standard pin I got from CDNN. Made life much easier.

Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
