I've been interested in French firearms for a long time and finally got into reloading 8mm Lebel recently. So I took my M16 carbine which is just a few years away from its 100 year anniversary out and did a video on its history and some of the more paractical things about owning a reloading for one.

Overall I like the rifle a lot and I lucked on mine as it has a perfect bore. Shoots a bit high right but always has good groups. Just wish it didn't expand the cases so bad.

Good video.
I'm not big on French guns, but a few have found their way into my collection.
I picked up a Remington 1907-15 Berthier in excellent condition.

I can't tell you how good it shoots because I've never fired it. But I have others I haven't fired.

In your video you mentioned the 1886 M93 Lebel. I had two but sold one to a friend.

If you lived close by, I would be more then happy to play with them.

Well if you're not a fan of French rifles I wouldn't mind buying those off of you. Especially that 1886 bot the 1907 is on my list. If the bores are good I would definitely give you a fair price.

What am I missing here? That statement makes absolutely no sense to me.

It's an 1892 berthier Model M16 AKA 1892/M16. So it's a 92 berthier with the 1916 modifications and it was produced in the early 1920's. So it's nearing 100 years old.

I sold the top 1886 in the photo to a friend that I owed a favor to.
I let him have it for $550. He thought I was crazy for selling it to him for that price. The rifle is all numbers matching in unissued WWII refurbished condition. The action was still full of cosmoline.
I have another friend that called dibs on the 1907. He's been trying to get me to sell it for over two years now.

That's to bed but if you feel like passing on that 1886 I would give you a good price on it. They normally go for about $600.
