Im looking for a good hunting scope for a pump action game master. My budget is around 100 bucks. Im looking for a durable scope for shooting deer at around 3x-9x, 40mm as i understand is very common for hunting.

Simmons 44 MAG line up has several good ones to choose from. Simmons even has a plain but sturdy 4X on SALE right now thru Natchez Shooters Supply for about $20.

Simmons scopes of 2011 are head & shoulders above the Redfield scopes of 30 years ago. And Redfield has always been a good name in scopes. Simmons figured out how to build quality optics and sturdy construction for less money.

No one is paying me to state kind things about Simmons products.

Check with grafs.com. They recently had a price reduction on the Nikon Pro-Hunter series of scopes. You might get a Nikon Pro-Hunter 2x-7x for around the $100 mark.
I've got one. It's a decent scope and is a good match for an all around deer rifle.

For $100 I think the Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 on clearance at Cabela's and was on sale at SWFA also is a good option. It's probably the way I'd go.

I have three Centerpoint scopes on .22, 5.45x39 and .223 caliber rifles. The 2-7x32 Centerpoint scopes are my favorite, but their 3-9x32 AO's are pretty decent as well. I would worry about their long term stability with the 30-06 though.

For a few dollars more, check out the Nitrex by Weaver line of scopes on closeout at Natchez. I think a gamesmaster would make a awesome dear rifle when topped with a Nitrex 1.5-5x32 scope for $129 here http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&prodID=WE94554

Another vote for the nikon prostaff. If the 3-9 isnt available, the 2-7 wouldnt be a bad choice, but for the extra 5 bucks or so id go with the 3-9.
