Congrats. Hope you like it.
Thank you, the little i have messed with it it seems like a nice scope. It’s been packed away in the reloading room mostly.

little concerning with Nikon dropping the scope line. I may have to email them to see how they plan to honor the lifetime warranty if they aren’t gonna make scopes

They won’t be able to honor the warranty within a few years, once the existing repair parts and replacement scope inventories dry up. Pretty standard problem. The company line from customer service right now when asked how they will honor a lifetime warranty once those parts and scopes are gone is, “we haven’t been given that information at this time.” Which is CS speak for “you’ll be SOL.”

I like Leupold and agree with looking at those first then Burris. I hate Nikon BDC reticles. Tons of those available and are not selling very well.

I have the athlon talos, the product line below your argos you asked about. Mines the 4-14x44 btr (ffp, mil/mil, illuminated reticle). It's solid for the money. The argos is a step up in glass. I would say my talos is pretty close to my old bushnell elite 3200.. possibly even clearer.

I prolly would have included Vector Optics in your list. Prolly the best made chinese scopes out there. Primarily designed for Military and Police work, and sold all over the world where they do not want to pay the USA premium.

But, as others have said - look through examples of each brand being considered. You will easily know which appeals to you as you handle them and look through at distant scenes (out the store window).

But you've made your choice - happy hunting :D
