I specifically opted out from any spam and I was nevertheless subscribed to at least 20 mailing lists from them. It is not possible to unsubscribe from a mobile device. When you try you end up signing up for more!

I refuse to do business with a company that treats its customers like this. There are better options.

Of all the companies I order from, MidwaysUSA has easily been the worst about this.

Don't buy from them. Make them to respect the folks that allow them to stay in business or force them out of business.

Have you tried contacting MidwayUSA directly for assistance in fixing this?

I have been ordering from them for 17 years and have never experienced such a SPAM issue so I will continue placing 4-6 orders with them per year. :)

Use a spam service. I use this one, have been using it for over 10 years. It's free and it works great.

Basically you hook it up to your email.

When someone sends you an email they will get a link to opt-in to your service. Spam programs can't do this.

You can also manually add or remove anyone you like.

That's horrible, hope life takes a turn for the better very soon.
 
I will admit that I placed an order with Midway 2 months ago and now I'm getting firearm spam. But, I don't think it's Midway, I'd be more inclined to believe one of the sites I frequent sold a list.
 
Never had a problem with Midway. Opt out for the account worked just like it should. I order from them regularly.
 
I order from midway all the time and I don't have spam issues. I think the op is having a pebkac issue.

Is it just email, or are you getting popups in other applications?

Thais latter is important. As that's more of a symptom of AdSense or GoogleMarketplace "spying" on you, and redirecting ads through other applications.
Sometimes a good adblocker will stop that. As a firefox user,, I use NoScript to "blacklist" a number of these, well, haemeroids.
 
Only problems I have had with them is having a backorded item for half a year, then they cancelled it. Call them to ask why and they had it in stock, great! Until I realize they canceled my order because they wanted to charge me a couple hundred dollars more...

That and double dipping on shipping because they are selling products they don’t have so orders ship from several locations.

I too avoid but I don’t give out a cell phone email to any place I think will be sending me a bunch of junk. Email addresses are free after all.

Dont have that problem with Midway and have been using them since before the internet. Gunbroker does this crap though. How can you tell it is Midway?
 
I have been doing business with them for over 30 years and have never had an issue. Of course, it was by mail in the beginning. These days I use my desktop computer. I guess it is just because I am old but I am unable to do the same things on my phone that I can do on the desktop. Screen is just too damn small and sometimes I completely miss something or click on something I don't want when trying to scroll on the phone. I doubt it is Midway doing this to you. That isn't the way they do business. Most likely it is your browser or some other site you frequent. Just my $0.02.
 
Midway is my go-to place for ordering. That being said, I really don't care much about the email from them.

If it is really bothering you, set up a filter on your email client. They all have some provision for filters. Then send it to trash or to a "Midway" folder. I think the second is a better choice because something they send may actually be important. I do that with Amazon. Unless I have recently ordered something I don't bother checking my "Amazon" folder.

Most times, I don't even look anywhere else. If I need something, I just go to Midway and order it.
Haven't noticed a problem with spam though. I get the occasional email from them, but it's not very often.

I do love spam and pineapple, however.

There's always that one guy. Ugh. ;)
