Need a rifle harness for backcountry skiing and coyote hunting. The only one I have found on The Google that uses conventional sling swivel gear is the TAB Gear biathlon harness. It looks pretty good to me. But wanted to check in any experience here or alternative proposals folks might have.

Had to drive up to Cheyenne today so dropped by Mile High Shooting on the way and picked up the TAB Gear biathlon harness. It’s great. Exactly what I was looking for.

BTW, anyone in the Denver - FoCo corridor, Mile High Shooting is like a candy store for non-hoplophobic adults. Awesome.

Won't get to ski with it until the weekend, but I'm impressed. It is a genuine hands free proposition and is still very quick to deploy. Works well, even with a small pack. Marketing bumpf says there's a way to deploy as a functional sling. Haven't figured it out yet. For me, the key thing is that it seems to be an honest hands free, rapidly deployable enough that I don't need the added weight of a pistol in a chest harness.

More after I've done a few miles in the mountains.

Interesting stuff; are you using some sort of muzzle cap device too?

Kid's balloon. Blows off ahead of the bullet - it actually inflates a little before popping off - you can't see it while shooting. I used to just put a piece of duct tape over the muzzle, but I somehow convinced myself that it didn't blow off ahead of the bullet, which is silly.
