Hi, two questions on this:

One, does anyone have any experience with them? He is right around the corner from me and is usually at the gunshows selling bullets. There is a show this weekend and I was looking at picking some up.

Two, I know he uses a form of moly coating, does this have any affect on load data? I have a few loads they I like with regular cast bullets but would it be safer to start again from minimum and work back up?

Thanks for the help!

Luke

I have been buying Billy Bullets for about 12 years, both from the guy you see and the guy he bought out. The bullets load well at the upper end of cast data and I have never had leading problems with them.

They do make your fingers black while loading, but I doubt you would die from doing it. His prices are a little higher than straight cast prices, but the quality makes up the difference. I had purchased some .45 ACP bullets from his predecessor I was not happy with, and after digging up his number he offered to swage them for me. Not bad for fixing his predecessor's mistakes.

Howdy Luke! I'm out here in E. Mesa just a little ways down the road from where Rudy makes those Billy Bullets and after seeing his casting operation, I'll agree with Granpa that the prices are slightly higher but I really believe this is a perfect example of you get what you pay for. The moly coating doesn't seem to affect my loads at all. What I really like is there's no barrel leading at all. These slugs are really slick! A lot of the match shooters out at Rio Salado use them and they probably wouldn't if their barrels were getting all clogged up! I'll bet if you try some you'll like them. I sure do! Good luck, Buckshot Bill

I have been using them for a short time. They load and shoot very close to wax lubed cast.

Main advantage is low smoke vs wax if you are in a speed shoot like IPSC or IDPA.
