I recently bought yet another browning bl-22 . A lightly used grade 2. I have two other grade 1 guns bought between 2007 and 2010. My question is this the two I had say bl22 and browning arms with the address as somewhere in Utah
. Th e latest one says st Louis and Montreal on the barrel. Is this an indicator of the year (if so when) or is this just the grade 2 guns.

One bump and I'll let this one die. just wondering when the address changed on the top of these guns. Id like to know how old the grade two I just bought is. Thank you

Browning used the barrel address of "St.Louis. Missouri" from 1952 to 1958
"St Louis , Missouri and Montreal, P.Q." from 1959 to1968
"Morgan, Utah and Montreal, P.Q." from 1969 to 1975
1976 and up were made by Miroku of Japan.

Actually I found the date of manufacture on brownings website. The first two digits of the sn its the date of manufacture if made before 75. The grade two I just bought was made in 69. Amazing for the condition its in. after 75 they used two letters for year. I bought the other two new though so I knew about what year they were. The website says all bl22s were made by miroku. The stock and forearm fit is tighter and better on the older model, of course that could just be luck of the draw. Now I just wonder if that helps value in the real world market not that I ever part with any thing
. Anyway thanks rc for taking time to reply.
