Wait a sec....they are talking perfectly good revolver and modifying them so they can only shoot blanks?

Life in UK is sad.

Thanks, drobs!
That's looks like what got my attention.
It sure fooled me.
Could these be retrofitted with a new barrel to fire live rounds or is the cylinder blank specific?
They also pulled a bunch of Cap&Ball revolvers at the same time.
They are still in my reminders list but not my watch list and when I click on them I get the "page does not exist" page.
The complete kits are still up as are a few revolvers.

Thinking they would be difficult to convert. But I don't have any 1st hand knowledge.

Its back up along with several of the C&B revolvers by the same seller:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/PIETTA-186...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
This is auction # 382883582467 incase it disappears again.

PIETTA 1860 Western Army Replica Knall W/ Holster
"Up for sale is this replica of an 1860 Western Army 9mm Knall revolver with leather holster. Excellent condition. It is 14" in total length. Please email with questions. Satisfaction is guaranteed. Also check out my other listings. Thanks"

I just learned that 9mm knall is a German blank round!
I apologize for my ignorance!

Interesting that he referred to the eBay policy on weapons in his listings. Perhaps now eBay is following the federal lead on the definition of a firearm...

This used boot pistol sold for $346.50!
With 45 bids, some folks must have had auction fever!
That's quite a steep selling price!

Those under hammer pistols actually have a big following. Supposedly pretty accurate guns.

I think that the ebay audience is a bit less experienced with firearms values than the folks on the regular gun auctions.
There have been some rust buckets on there that went for hundreds.
But that makes it a great place to unload the stuff no one in their right mind would buy elsewhere!!!

Regarding Ebay pricing:

Full Fluted Uberti 1860 Cylinder for $162:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Uberti-1860-Army-44-Caliber-Fluted-Black-Powder-Cylinder/223482532010?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

A new Uberti full-fluted cylinder from VTI is $103 and from Taylor's is $105. I feel that Taylor's is my primary choice, but I have had good luck with various Pietta 1851 parts from both.

So if the ebay seller is buying from VTI and adding a 50% mark up that is quite a business model!

Caveat Emptor!

Not about eBay per se, but regarding using Paypal for buying black powder guns which has long been a no-no as far as needing to be discreet.
On the home page of a long time outfit named "Sitting Fox" custom muzzle loaders. in large print it states:--->>> http://sittingfoxmuzzleloaders.com

ATTENTION: WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE ARE NOW WORKING WITH PAYPAL
CHECK OUT OUR ORDER PAGE NOW!

On the other hand, here's Paypal's policy on firearms transactions:--->>> https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp...-on-transactions-that-involve-firearms-faq585

Paypal is free to interprete and enforce their policy any way they want.
I don't know if they consider his muzzle loaders to be kits, even though he sells both kits and complete guns.
But it still points to a relaxation of their stated policy.
