Ken Hackathorn has written a series of articles describing his testing of various "Combat Classic" (widely used military/police) handguns. These have appeared in recent issues of the Blue Press, Dillon Precision's magazine/catalog.

See page 9 at each of these links:

The test he used is a good tool to demonstrate the characteristics of these guns. Especially:

All strings are shot from the low ready, making them indoor-range friendly.
Both time and accuracy are measured against standards.
Strings are shot at distances between three and fifteen yards.
An emergency reload is included "on the clock".
Shooting with two hands, strong-hand only, and non-dominant hand only are all included.
It only takes 30 rounds.

In addition to being good for testing hardware, it is also good for verifying that important skills are still in the toolkit of a defensive-minded handgunner.

So, this is a good test to use next time you want to see if you've "still got it", or when you want to compare the practical performance of the .50AE Desert Eagle you rented against your old familiar J-frame airweight.

I'd be interested in hearing what you learn from shooting it...

Looks like "classifier" stuff, generally more of a test for the shooter than the firearm but if one is real awful, it will show up.
