As some of you may know I had an incident where my CVA Muzzleloader took a fall and cracked in half at the receiver. I called the next day and spoke with a CS rep and he was great to deal with. He sent me a RMA and asked me to check my email to ensure I got it, B.S. with me a little and assured me they would take a look at the gun and either replace it or fix it. I ended up working 7 days a week and got pneumonia or something and didn't ship the gun until the first of the month. I thought about it yesterday and called BPI/CVA for an update and reached the same customer service rep. He explained they are working from home due to COVID 19 concerns and when the factory fires back up he will look into the details of my firearm and get back to me. This guy has taken care of me in the past when the front fiber optic fell out of my sight. He asked if I needed any other parts and ended up sending me a ramrod, sights, stickers and other stuff free.

Well fast forward to last night I see on CVA facebook that they closed not because of a government order but to keep their employees safe. It was signed by the CEO at the bottom. Well that brought out the I wont buy from you anymore idiots and then I notice a comment stating:

Nate Treadaway: Gentlemen, we are aware that we are considered an essential business by both federal and state orders. Our reasons go beyond legal precedence. We hope you trust us and under that we made a difficult call for the right reasons. We’ll be back in the full swing in no time at all. Thank you!

I read that comment and then looked at the letter from the CEO and said, holy crap! The CEO actually commented from his personal Facebook page. I sent him a Facebook PM regarding how his CS rep helped me when the gun broke, gave me extra time to ship it and how during our conversation yesterday he offered to look into it personally when they reopened and how pleasant Oliver was to deal with. Nate PM me back right away thanking me for taking the time to tell him how Oliver did and for my understanding that he made the tough decision to close for the health of his employees and their families. 14hrs later this morning he gave me a shout out on Facebook thanking me. I don't know about you guys but this was pretty stand up for the CEO to comment from his personal FB page, reply back to me and also take the time to thank me again 14hrs later.

I just wanted to give a shout out to CVA on this one. Even if they don't fix my rifle I will buy another one directly from them.

My experiences with them parallel yours. I had 2 magazines on order from Bergara and received a well written email explaining that they have refunded my money because of decisions they made to protect their workers. I was astounded they even contacted me and I applaud their honesty and integrity. Most companies would have kept my money and simply shipped the magazines when things got back to normal. I dealt with Bergara CS once on an issue with a rifle and they were fantastic.

They are a well run company with good employees. I will continue to do business with them.
