The last time I had an AR, 223 was dirt cheap and I never bothered to reload or police up my brass for my self but let others do it so they could keep the brass.

Now I have a new AR and found ammo to be quite spendy and will reload.

Of the various brass catchers on the market, which ones do you guys like?

Don't know about the store-bought ones.
I made this one out of plastic screen, 1/8" music wire frame, zip-ties, plywood, and a nylon screw.

You just loosen the nylon screw a turn and it slips right on & off the mags.

Occasionally, an empty will bounce back into the ejection port and get caught, but other then that, it works pretty darn good actually!
