Today I stumbled uppon an absolutely gorgeous Browning A-Bolt Medallion in .22 LR. It is a Medallion Gold, so was manufactured between 1988 and 1996. It is in wonderful condition, and the wood is beautiful! It has a Leupold Vari-X II 2-7 mounted on it that is also in great condition. I know magazines are extremely difficult to find, but is there anything else I should know?

At $650 I'm very tempted to pull the trigger. Any input?

I never even knew you could get an A-bolt in .22 LR.
That Leupold scope alone is probably worth a minimum of $150.
If the rifle is super clean and they are rare then it might be worth it.
At the end of the day it's still up to you.

I have one, got it new around 94-95 used to shoot 22 casings with it at 40 yards. Killed many a squirrel with it, it's the gun that I learned trigger control on. I've probably shot 10,000 or so bulk federal through it back when a brick was $8.00.

Buy it, you'll be glad u did.

After viewing a small sampling of A- Bolts in 22 LR over at GunBroker in which most if not all were absent a scope let alone one of quality, and judging by the bids that are already on certain examples, then it appears the price being asked as the rifle is equipped is worth it.
Go for it.

Went back today after work and it was gone. I'm not terribly upset, I made the choice not to buy it yesterday and I missed out because of it. No harm no foul.
