I searched and didn’t find a thread on it. May not have done it correctly. But Beretta is getting in the straight pull game. Apparently Savage isn’t alone on this. Not sure what to think. Until I finish college I won’t be able to afford one I'm sure.

This is aimed at the European market, but I surmise that we will be seeing more of these as pressure grows to reduce semi-auto availability and use. Some semi-autos have been modified to a straight pull configuration to comply with local restrictions and regulations.

Straight pulls have been common since at least 1895, but implementations have varied widely in quality and utility. Some are very high quality, but the usual weakness is the primary extraction leverage. Time will tell if accuracy can keep pace with turnbolts.
