I tend to gravitate towards more traditional handguns, and I'm big fan of vintage leather gear to carry them in.

I've been lucky to score two pristine examples of the Bucheimer "Federal Man" style OWB thumb break holsters via eBay in the past few months for both my govt size 1911 and my Browning HP, and have great experiences carrying them both.

Thinking along the same lines I found another example, advertised as fitting S&W J frames. I routinely carry a 442 Airweight under my suit jacket at work where something lower profile is called for.

Unfortunately, although this example was both practically unused, well made and very inexpensive, i made the bonehead mistake of thinking the retaining strap that would fit over a hammer would also fit over the larger "hump" of my hammerless model. Since i dont own a Model 36 or 60, its not usable by me.

Does anyone know if a model similar to this, by the same or other maker would fit a shrouded J-Frame? Right now i'll look to pass this one to someone who can make use of it and enjoys classic gunleather.

I like the old Bucheimers and the Bucheimer-Clark even more. I picked up a couple B-C "concealer" high ride OWB holsters for my two model 10 4" that hold the guns high and tight.(if you don't mind the trigger exposed) I had to replace the snap for the thumb break but I got it for $17.
