How many here have considered or actually built your very one of a kind firearm? This does not mean extensively customizing a factory gun. This means you're being your own factory.

As for me, I am seriously thinking of a wrist breaker deluxe chambered for 50 BMG in single shot with a 6 inch barrel. You may ask why? Why not? The ATF allows us to make our own weapons provided we do the paper acrobatics and do not sell our works. Plus the law says we have to label our arms with a place of manufacture and serial number (name too?) so said gun would extremely unique as far as my children inheriting it someday.

I've considered building several of my own arms. However, I don't have the tools necessary to make a gas action, semi automatic revolver, or a double barreled pump shotgun.

I do, however, have plans and diagrams.

Nope. The labling/serial numbering is for licensed manufacturers only. As long as the firearms you're building comply with all local and federal laws, no paperwork is needed. "They" don't even need to be informed on what you're doing.
Take a look over on AR15.com. Guys are building tons of AR's and AK's. I just may have done one or two myself....but....I'll never tell ;)
