so here is my issue...
i am reloading 45 acp on a lee pro 1000. 1/3 of the rounds i make don't fit the case gauge. seating issue? suggestions? is this normal?

Welcome to the forum.

No, not normal at all. There are a lot of reasons for completed ammo not "fitting in the gauge". What is not fitting? Are they too long? Are they too wide? Please give us more information.

Check for burrs on the rim the extractor may have left from the previous firing. Seems like this happens with 45 ACP more than others. When I have a round that doesn't fit, I usually start it in the case gauge backwards just to make sure the rim fit in the gauge.

I have just been going through this with a Dillon 550b. I ended up reducing the amount of bell and lightening the crimp and I have reduced my problems by at least half, maybe 75%. I took a factory round and measured the crimp and then tried to get as close as possible to that figure. It really seemed odd to me that too much crimp would cause this problem and I still don't understand it, but changing it has certainly improved my bullets.
