I recently bought and M&P CORE 9mm, 5" barrel. I bought it so I could mount my Burris Fast Fire III on the slide. Smith Wesson has included 5 mounting plates to accommodate most red dot sights on the market. I have determined that plate #3 is the one that is compatible with the FF III. There are 4 different sets of screws that are provided by S&W.
According to the matrix in the M&P manual ,the type "C" screws are the correct ones. There are 2 different sets of screws that fit the holes in the FF III. One set has longer threads. For the other 2 sets of screws, the heads are too large.
Can you tell from the picture which sets are the type "C" ones that would accommodate the FF III, Better yet, has anyone installed the FF III on a CORE that would know which screws are correct:
